This is a great article. I love the storytelling and the link to the Climate Justice movement. And it raises important points, many of which resonate with things I wrote about. But I can't help but wonder why Microsoft is not implementing those principles? Why not use Microsoft's AI power for the things the article proposes, instead of making millions of people receive yet another "AI powered" email they didn't sign up for in the first place. (Anyone else getting Microsoft Viva's nagging daily updates? It's the Matrix of emails. An email about emails just in case we missed all those emails. So much digital carbon that could be saved...) It would be super-interesting to hear how Microsoft is planning to use the Green Design Principles in the design of their products.
